GCC Technical Team 2007

Here is the promised Tech Team picture....

You gals and guys are the BEST team 2007!

BEST Technical Team of 2007

I like to present you with the best technical team of the year in my eyes! That is the GCC Technical Team! Let me introduce to you a little bit more about this team. This team is considered a pretty new team in GCC, though before this we were working pretty much independently. The team consists of live mix, visual aid, recording, production, lights and sounds. Prior to this year the team were working pretty much within their own departments and solving problem within their own department BUT the year 2007 saw the different teams coming together to form one strong Technical Team.

Because of this understanding of that everything we do is a team and not about individualism, the team had strengthen one another in many different ways. Throughout 2007 we have strife to better ourselves and to improve a lot of areas within the team so that we can bring greater glory to God’s Name.

I must say the team finished with a “BANG” this year by presenting the highest standard of behind scene support to make the event a memorable one with minimal mistake! I must say I’m overwhelmed with the team’s commitment to making the event a SUPERB one!

I believed the team also learned that it’s NOT about how good we are as an individual BUT it’s how good we are as a TEAM! Meaning if one team member is down we need to stick together to ensure that this member is build to be stronger! In a team setting is NEVER about one person, but it’s about the partnership that we have with one another! If we understand that, that’s where the impact is born!

That’s exactly what happened during this past Christmas Eve event! I’m so so very PROUD of being part of GCC Technical Team because I believe if we stand together strong we bring much glory to God’s Name!

I do acknowledge that serving in this team is NOT play-play or easy at all! Because we are always given the highest and newest challenges with limited equipments and time to work with or even exposure I must say. BUT this team is up to it simply because everyone within the team put their hearts together to please God, that’s why we are able to finish with a “BANG”! ALL Glory to God!

I’m looking forward for 2008 with this Team and is very very excited with what we have learn in 2007 and will be enhancing it even more in year 2008! Thank you gals and guys for putting your heart together to make this year’s Christmas Event a come through and glorifying God’s Name! I’m indeed PROUD of each and every one of you! So let us charge into 2008 with what we already have and enhance and strengthen the team together ya!!!
BECAUSE we are ONE Winning TEAM!!!
P/S a TEAM photo will be pasted later on once I get the pic from our Tai Ko ya...

Are all "Open Doors" good?

I like to blog this because I’m seeing lots of open doors coming our ways and some of us might be trick to believe that is from God. First let me get this into your head “NOT all open doors are from God”.

At this time and year, the cost of living is going up like no one’s business. Therefore, we need to be very watchful on what kind of open doors are coming our ways. I have been experiencing different kinds of open doors coming my way since the end of October and gosh!!! All of them are very tempting and seems to have very good prospects and of course more money to gain!

There was so many new open doors that I got confused? So I asked the Lord, why so many open doors? And am I to take all? God used David’s life to speak to me. See King Saul was not happy with David and pursue to kill him. During this chase, David had open doors to kill Saul. First time was in the cave and 2nd time in King Saul’s camp, both times we also see the presence of God. BUT David didn’t kill him. So why not kill him ya? To me is if I don’t kill him, he will find me and kill me ah! Well, David is really a man after God’s heart! Because he believes that it is God’s timing to kill Saul and not his. So NOT all open doors are from God!

We must seek God and know very clearly if it’s what He wants us to enter into! Lately I had a lot of people coming up to me to offer partnership; jobs, new venture etc and all of them are very potential! BUT I realize not all of them are for me! So for those who I’ve responded with a “no” doesn’t mean that your idea is not good or that I don’t like you ya.. I did however enter into a partnership with CL and boy! I can see how God hands move and we have been so amazed at how things are going! His favor working through us…GOSH! It’s just amazing.

So, friends I do advise you to check and look seriously before you accept any open doors. Not all open doors are from God! So don’t pray for open doors! BUT pray for one that is God sent! Go, charge people into 2008 and possess it!

Stay Sane

Ah it’s that time of the year again! The time that stretches me like no one’s business haha… I have been preparing myself for this week and hey, I find that it’s not so bad. I actually find that this year’s Christmas am more relax and calm. Though it’s like mad practicing none stop and a lot of last minutes changes and programs! Maybe is due to the theme “Peace on Earth” haha… so have been experiencing much peace!

I must say, preparation makes a lot of difference, mental preparation that is. That’s why I always supply my Team with as much information as I can so that they too can be mentally prepare and take the challenge that is ahead of us.

So if you find that you are at the verge of break down because of the season’s busyness I do advise you to take a moment and submit everything to God and allow Him to take over! Then take time to prepare your mind about what’s to come. That way you will be able to stay sane till the New Year 2008 comes!

Christmas Shopping

Have anyone of you been shopping? Oh gosh!!! Like everything is so super costly!!! Do you feel that or it’s just me? To get something good for a price of RM10 is so difficult! I remember last year and the year before I was able to get very good things for that price but this year oh gosh!!! It’s so difficult! Especially so if you like to get something useful!

This is a sign that next year we all will have to work harder to get more money because everything will increase in price! I believe especially so after the election next year. Everything will just go whoosh!! So embrace yourself people!

This year’s shopping had been a tough one! And also there is not a lot to go around with too…. BUT I’m all done with my shopping hehe… I’ve got enough already. So I can say “phew…

Well, Merry Christmas and Happy Shopping! All the BEST!

God Prepares us!

Our God is a God that prepares us and doesn’t leave us alone in carrying out His plans. We can read from the Bible that He had place Moses in a situation where he was raise up in the camp of Egypt though he was born as a Levi. We also read that Paul was a Roman who brought up and serve in the Roman government. Then we have King David, where he was only a shepherd and was place under King Saul for 10 years. The circumstance and trial Joseph had to go through from the aged of 17 till 37. All these are great man of the Bible! God prepares them to be His great man!

You know most of the time we think we are not capable and that we will not achieve or be great one day! BUT by reading about the above people in the Bible we know it is possible for us to be that great person one day! Because God is preparing His army for His Kingdom!

I truly believe this and had been experiencing how God is preparing me for things ahead of me! Of course I’m NOT great just yet J BUT I’ve experience how He prepares me for things ahead or to come! He had sent people from afar, as far as UK to teach and give me a few tips on how to go about a new venture that I’ve just entered and a friend that I’ve not met for more than 10 years suddenly appear at my door step to again give me some more ideas on how to go about my new venture! I’m very, very amazed! I cannot say that I don’t want to pursue into this new venture because He has prepared me! Though I’m still very, very, superb new in this new venture, I’ve no fear of what man thinks because I know my Lord prepare and is with me!

I blog this is to encourage you to take that step of faith and step out from your comfort zone so that you will be able to experience the goodness of God and do great things from Him like those stated in the Bible! So friends believe in God and yourself and enter this New Year 2008 with a different understanding and stand! Take courage and charge for His Kingdom!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! Wow!!! It has been some times since I blog! No worries friends I haven’t forgot about my blog :-) December is just a super busy month!! The month that everyone is preparing to end the year with a bang, planning for the year ahead and most of all Christmas celebration!

This year I had been in the Christmas mood since early November already! Christmas this year is very different to me as it's a time of thanksgiving! I’m very very thankful to God for all the blessing that He has supplied me throughout this year.

This year 2007, had been a very challenging year for me! BUT at all times I’ve seen the hand of God at work in my life! I just can’t say how much I’ve been blessed by God. It’s also a year of thanksgiving because I know I’ve grown much in terms of stature, status, character, and most of all my relationship with God!

For all this to happen I must thank God for supplying people around me to make me who I’m today. Firstly I must thank my very good and dear buddy, SF who had stuck by me in times of my ups and downs and I must say that had allowed me to surf through lots of challenges in the year. I also must thank my good friend CFL and CL for being such good friend in many ways. We all need friends that we can lean on and having them is the best things anyone can wish or ask for! I’m truly blessed with them!

Secondly I must thank all the leaders of L zone! For they have really shape and mold my character and stature as a leader. Without them my leadership will just be like a mediocre manager which everyone hates! The leaders had pushed me in many ways to rise up and pursue to be a better leader! In other words they had made me a leader that’s with a difference! Thank you CC, SL, JL, EL and DD. I’m very proud of every one of you!

Thirdly, I would like to thank God for a wonderful Sound Team, who had stuck by the ministries in it’s up and down times! I must say I’m really proud of this TEAM and believe I have the BEST sound team in the world! Thank you guys (RW, GR, EL, DV and CU) for your commitment to the ministry and am proud to be your leader!

Merry Christmas everyone and thank you for being part of my life! Oh! Oh! Not forgetting to thank my Pastors too! Thank you Ps W and Ps Jo for your many prayers and guidance throughout the year! You have been such a blessing and am really honor to have you as my Pastors. Merry Christmas!

Being a Leader

Being a leader is never easy. BUT it is being a leader that has made me who I am today! Sometimes I asked myself, why am I a leader? Why did God choose me? 1 Sam 12:22 states that God has chosen us to be leaders – not so that we can boast and has a title BUT it’s solely because He wants His people to be blessed! Meaning it is not because we deserve to be a leader BUT it’s just that we are that channel of blessing to His people!

WOW!! What a great inside! I must say… I’m very honor to know that God uses us, leaders as that channel of blessing for His people BUT!!! That also means we can be the one that blocks out the blessing to those who we lead! Eikeees!!!

See, I told you being a leader is NOT easy! :-) So how are we to be a good leader? 1 Sam 12:23 gave us the answers, as leaders we MUST pray for those who have been place under us and also teach them the right way to God. Sometimes we might not agree to our people’s decision in how they carry out their lives BUT we as leaders need to continue to pray and teach them! That’s the hard part! BUT with the Holy Spirit and God’s grace upon our leadership it is possible and achievable!

Remember leaders, title doesn’t draw people it’s the relationship and the heart for them that draws them! Therefore this Christmas let us leaders pray for ourselves to have a heart for God’s people (this also include the non believers) and learn to love them!

Savings...

Financial situation is like the main thing in all of our lives. Most of our days are spend thinking of how to make more money!!! It is so true isn’t it? I’m not talking until the extend of making money as our God, but be true to yourself, we are always making decision to improve our lifestyle and standard of living! So with that comes the issue of money! So don’t deny that money is NOT important, it is important! For that matter if you don’t want it you can always bank it into my account :-D

This session I would like to give you some tips on how to deal with your money so that you will have a comfortable lifestyle ahead and not struggle with money. If you have not started a saving or retirement plan yet, I do strongly encourage you to do so immediately. It’s never too young to start on this plan, actually the younger you are the better or rather more money you will have at the end of the day!

Here are so of the tips that you can used.

If you are in the 20’s
• Learn to live below your means.
• Tighten up spending.
• Have another bank for your saving (Preferably one that is not convenient to go withdraw
money).
• Save at least 10%-15% of your take home pay.
• If you still have enough start a small investment. Like into fixed deposit, bonds, unit trust,
etc (But be aware not too big of an investment).
• Start an escape fund. This is a fund that will be used in time of emergency or unexpected

circumstances.

If you are in the 30’s
And you have yet started what the 20’s are doing; incorporate it into your plan IMMEDIATELY!

• Concentrate on building your career. Start your own business now if you need or have
plans to enter that field.
• Turn cash into possessions. Meaning start to invest into a house, stock etc.
• Start an insurance which give a high return!
• Get marry for those who plan to.
• Start a fund for your children’s future education and well being.
• Increased your investment portfolio.

If you find yourself doing some of the above during your 20’s that is very good because that means you are on the head start! Like for myself I’m practicing those things listed in the 40’s already tho’ I’m yet anywhere near 40 :-)

If you are in the 40’s
• Feed an escape fund.
• Monitor your investment closely.
• Increase saving percentage.
• Invest into vocational home – a place where you would like to retire into.
• If you have yet to start your own business, start your own home business now!

If you are in the 50’s
• Keep the investments working for us by monitoring it closely.
• Monitor your estate investment.
• Benefit check, do this check so that you know what kind of benefit you will enjoy when you retire from your company.
• If you have children and they have reach the maturity age (start working) stop giving them
allowance or money.

Hope this helps. For those of you who have fallen behind, I urge you to make it right immediately so that you can be debt free and well to do faster. For those who are ahead, KEEP UP the GOOD WORK!!! Be blessed people!

Blind and seeing the World 2

I just like to add somemore amazing thing this lady did today… Yesh! The same lady!

Today, I sent her off to the airport for her flight back to Australia. And she again amazed me! She is so helpful you know? We got down at the airport and I was getting the luggage out and then she said “Dear… let me help you there, its heavy..” I said no need – thinking that she can’t see – she just made her way to the back of the car on her own and grab hold of the bag that I was about to take out from the boot and she assisted me to place it at the trolley! Gosh! I wanted to faint already.

She came with her daughter for this holiday. So at the airport they had 2 trolleys for their bags and she said “C… how r you going to push two trolley? Let me have the other!” And she fought her way to get hold of the other trolley and she wheeled it! And she told her daughter, “Just call out to me and I will follow you!” Gosh! She is really an amazing lady! I must give my salute to her! She really inspirer me to do more!

Blind and seeing the World

Yesterday I had a client who came here for a holiday and she is blind! After speaking to her for awhile I was so amazed at what she is doing even tho’ she is blind!

If you were blind what would you be doing? Traveling I believe will be the last thing on your mind as it will be so troublesome and you can’t see what’s there anyway right? Well! This lady had travel like to most part of the world! Gosh! She has been to (just to name a few) Canada, New Zealand, Europe, Indonesia (Bali), even China and now to Malaysia. She said her next target will be Japan! Wah!!! And she is blind must I remind you? She told me all these places are beautiful and is different! She said the hotel that she is staying in now (Sutera) is beautiful! I scratch my head! How the heck she knows? And she said “Dear, we the blind see the world and paint it very beautifully! More beautifully then those who can see…” Then I was thinking to myself you get to do that at home anyway? Before I finish thinking she said “It’s different being there and just painting how beautiful the country is, because if you are there you get to smell the air and meet the people that brings meeting to travelling…” WOW!!!! That’s so true isn’t it? We travel is because we want to meet the people there and get to understand them better.

If what she has told me so far has amazed you… GET this she is staying alone in Australia too!!! Bear in mind she is blind! Wah!!! She told me all her children are grown up and has their own lives and the closest son is staying er… like as far from KK to Tawau. Amazing woman ya? And she said this “Oh.. I can’t be a burden to others, I need to be independent so that others can live their life to the fullest!” What a great attitude she has!

I’ve been inspired by her much and will need to do more!! I’m not blind BUT I feel that I’m not even doing as much as she is doing. So I will need to do more and travel more too!

Abiding in Laws...

The Laws am referring to are those stated in Bible. In Galatians Paul actually said that the Law bring curse! Huh? ??? Big time ??? Haha… A good friend of mine had told me before, we need to practice our lifestyle according to the Word of God BUT don’t fall into legalism! Er… What the heck is legalism? To me a law will show us the boundaries and limitations that we need to practice in our lives. WRONG!!! Laws in the Bible are meant to expose sins! That’s all it does!

So what is legalism? Now… I’ve come to my senses – It means Christians who live by a list of “don’ts” and believe that God’s favor is earned by good behavior. Well, I must say good behavior don’t earn us God’s favor, having humility, obedience to His call and a contrite heart is what draws and earn God’s favor!

So are you stuck with a legalism mindset? Let me bring out some of the legalism symptom for you, so that you can check and see if you have such mindset. Ready? Here it goes:-

1) You feel guilt about yourself when you come into the presence of God instead of His Love.

2) Feels guilty and inadequate all the time.

3) You will hate yourself instead of exercising humility.
Please don’t get humility wrong and think that by hating yourself is humility! Humility is knowing our true position before God and having a righteous, pure and contrite heart.

4) We stress performance rather than relationship with one another.

5) We think we have fallen so far short instead of recognizing what Christ has done for us.

Therefore legalism is super impossible to achieve and no joy to be in. Let us not be stuck with such mindset BUT know that God has already set us free from all such legalism! BUT that doesn’t mean the law is not important. The law is still important for us to understand and abide to! Being a Christian allows us to have a fullness of life which comes with lots of joy and excitement! That’s what a Christian is all about! Not a sad life!

ATTENTION!!

The past week (since Monday) I’ve attracted much attention just because I’ve colored my hair… or rather highlighted my hair with 2 colors (tho’ most of them thought I only highlighted 1 color) hee…

Through this experience I realize 2 things:
1) It’s easy to get attention, just be daring to do something different and you will sit on the top of rank of the attention chart.
· I had the younger ones coming up to me talking to me! Some of them had never spoken
to me before too! That wasn’t hard! No effort needed at all!
· Got the more senior generations coming to me and asking if am “ok”? What had
traumatized me to do that!
· My own generations, hmmm…. ????

2) I might have different colors on my hair! BUT I don’t feel any different at all! I’m still me!
My identity is still the same – Angela Liew :-) My love for God is still the same too :-) Think
LOVE Him even more actually “-D

From this it had taught me something, when you think out of the box or step out of your comfort zone you attract a different group of people. With the change doesn’t mean that you need to throw your identity away! You can still be who you are BUT just with different doors open and opportunities coming your way!

So don’t be scared to step out of your box or comfort zone and do something different today! For it will bring a new opening into our lives! Which is exactly what is happening to me!! Lots of new open doors have come my way in the past 2 months just because I decided to do something different. I started by doing something different in building my Spiritual life. You too can enjoy these opportunities, just come to God with a new mindset and heart, He will show you the rest.

Be bless!!!

Dry Bones?

The past Sunday we had heard about reviving the dry bones! Wah!!! Dry bones also can come alive! It is recorded in Ezek 37:1-14. This message has touch and spoken to me much! All of us have dry bones in our lives, maybe not every part of our lives, BUT if you be true to yourself you will find them! Dry bones refer to our spiritual state which is not bearing fruit.

I’m blogging this is to remind myself and others out there that we DO have dry bones in us! Meaning certain parts of our life is not bearing fruits for the Kingdom. We might think that we are serving faithfully in a ministry and going to church every Sunday so we don’t have dry bones! Wrong!

In John 15:1-8, states that we still need to be prune and be discipline! Why do we need that if we don’t have dry bones in us? Therefore it’s so important for us to stay close to the Word of God (Ezek 37:4) and put on Christ (Ezek 37:14)! Not to mention obedience towards what He has called us to do!

So how to get out of our dry bones situations? There is no other way but to come back and stay close to His Word. Not only stay close, we must PUT them into practice and allow Christ to become part of our lifestyle! Therefore it requires us to have a new man inside us! What are the characteristic of this new man? Will… the answer is all listed in Colossians 3:12-17. That is how we put on Christ and not stay as dry bones in the Kingdom!

Let us all function as a new man and not dry bones! For we have much work to do for the Kingdom! And to take back what belongs to the Kingdom!

Obedience is More Important...

This past week has just been a tremendous week for me!!! A lot had happened since the last time I blog! I believed my Spiritual life has shift too! I’ve just entered new ground and gosh!!! It is so exciting!

The past week I had experience:-
1) New venture,
2) Miracle,
3) Answered Prayer,
4) Presence and guidance of God,
5) New revelations,
6) His riches and blessing.

And throughout the whole week I’ve been reading and hearing nothing but about the importance of obedient to God’s call! That had got me "trembling" and likes to excel in what He had called me to do! Listening to CD Sermon, in my morning devotion, and yesterday again at church all stress the importance of obedience. Obedience comes with a submissive and contrite heart! With obedience then only we can activate our inheritance which God has already given to us.

So here is the Bible verses that I’ve come across and studied that shows services or sacrifices we can give to God is not as importance as having an obedience heart. God seek nothing but an obedient heart to His call!

1 Sam 15:22-23 – Stubbornness is idolatry.
Ps 51:16-17 – God desire a contrite heart.
Pro 21:2-3 – Obedience to God standard not man’s standard.
Isa 1:11-20 – Obedience bring blessing into our lives.
Jer 7:21-23 – Walk with obedience and all will be well.
Hosea 6:6 – God desire a relationship of obedience.
Math 12:7 – Desire obedience.
Mark 12:33 – Obedience to His law that is to love!

This goes also for our obedience towards our Father of the house, Pastors and leaders.

SIP Over

Phew! SIP is over another growth for the church! You know each SIP is so different! I find that it always give the church a booster jab! Spiritually that is and this last SIP was so so different and God moved very different as well! Am honor to be involve in it by serving in it!

As for me this time I was super busy with work and had to go in and out of SIP, but I kept my commitment there at SIP and do the best that I can give and God had really blessed me! Will, tell you all more about this if all goes well… for now… hehe.. I shall just keep it to meself!

This time we (L Zone) sponsor a Pastor from Indonesia to join this SIP and am really proud of my CGs! They did well! They took very good care of her and other Pastors too! Well, now we have reached out to the nation as CGs!!! I’ve had just sent her home yesterday back to Indon! She had expressed her gratefulness to GCC for what she had received and learned so much from Ps W! She will go far and Ps M our prayer will go back with you too…

Car RUNS without battery?

Do you know that a car can run without a battery? AMAZING!!! I learn that today! I was so amazed and couldn’t believe it as I experience and seen it with my own eyes!

This is what happens, today after lunch I couldn’t start my car so I called JL to help me. He came with EL as EL has the car jumper. So we tried using the jumper on my car but it didn’t work. While doing that a car park nearby also had the same problem of not being able to start his car, so they came to ask for help. We helped the guy first… the car start with a loud blurrrr…. So the guy and family went off happily. EL and JL turn back to solving my car…

We tried many solution and at last EL said he will use his car battery to start my car so that I can go home first ???? er… how the heck does that work? I asked a whole bunch of “Q” and EL was patient to explain to me… After all the explanation I still fail to understand how it can be done! So EL asked me to just watch. So I did!

He placed his car’s battery into my car, connect and bbbrrrrr…. My car started with no problem! Then he did the miracle! He took out the car battery while the car was still running! Amazing and it kept running!!! Wah lau eh…. My eyes almost pop out! Slowly he connected my old car battery in and done! I can drive my car home.

Gosh I really thank God for these two guys JL and EL! I would be lost without them in cases like this! Thanx JL and EL appreciate your time and effort! Thank you!

This incident had made me think…. Is that how Doctor do heart transplant?

Friends to Keep

You know a lot of people tell me that good friends are hard to come by. It gets even harder if you want to have friends that will be there to support you, encourage you, share your ministries ups and downs, sharpen your character and whom you can open up to!

Well I’m blessed because I exactly have such friends in my life! Beside AC and CFL, I also do have other very good friends too like SF and CL. Well, this blog I’m going to write about my friendship with AC and CFL a little, not too much later you all find how good they are and steal them away from me!! Haha!

We have known each other since 1999 like that but we didn’t really got to know one another well until year 2000 when we organized the first young adult camp. It was here that our friendship flourishes and has since grown since then.

My first encounter with AC was of course from CG and he had been such a big brother to me! Sometimes I also go to him to seek advice. And he is one that if anything happens I can just gives him a phone call and he is there for me! Thanx bro!

My first meet with CFL to build our friendship was at Little Italy, Damai. For the young ones you might not even know that Little Italy started its operation in Damai… Will that’s where my friendship with CFL flourishes too. Actually I gave her quite a scare with how I was gulping down the cheese! Haha! She told me this years later when we think of our old days. She has been a friend who am really able to share my ministry with! So some of you out there thinking how I recharge or keep meself so strong in my leadership, hee… here is the answer have a friend like her and you will want to do more for the Lord!

Together we had been thru a lot in terms of servicing God. I will not say more but I just want to dedicate this blog to them!

Thank you friend for your partnership, friendship, support and encouragement in many ways! Tho’ you don’t tell me, I do know that you all have always kept me in your prayer! Thanx so much for that!

I pray that our friendship will continue to be a blessing to one another and also to all those that come in contact with us!

May God bless and prosper you in all your doing!

Doulos is BACK

Doulos is here already, just arrived today! And when we took the above photo it has dock at Berth 8 for about 3 hours already.

Much is said about the ship and most of us know the ship as the book ship! Everyone knows that even the non-believers! They had made such an impact!

Do you know that the ship is only 2 years younger than Titanic? Titanic also had made such an impact in the world BUT as a sinking ship… Doulos is younger and to me it’s not only a book ship! But it’s a ship that brings “Life”… Why life? Since its first voyage, it had been to more than 100 countries and each stop they share the gospel. The gospel is “Life”! So it’s a ship that brings “Life”!

If you have yet been on the ship I do encourage you to get on board this time! As the ship is very old already (93 years old this year) and we do not know if it will be able to make it back to KK again or not before it retires for good.

So those of you staying around KK, don’t miss this chances! I won’t want to miss this chance so am going on board on Sunday (14th Oct, 2007). Well… not on board as in sailing with them, but just for a visit and tour!

See you there!

Holiday of No Return

I’m blogging this because of the above title that I find is so interesting...

Well, when we read “Holiday of No Return” our mind will wonder to wah… a wonderful holiday, must be really exciting until is at a point of no return, or just buying a one way ticket and go to a place of paradise… What else would come into your mind?

Holiday of No Return is an experienced that my uncle had recently. What the heck am I talking about? Or am I trying to get at? Well, my uncle when for a very joyful holiday in Australia (to my other uncle’s place, well I come from a huge family that’s why so many uncles haha…). Nothing is wrong in going for a wonderful holiday that was requested by my uncle right? So his daughter purchased the ticket upon his request and within 3 weeks they are there in Australia. Fast transaction ya?

Ask and you shall receive? No! Well I certainly don’t want this holiday!

Basically this is what happened to my uncle, he asked to go on holiday to a few places which his daughter have already purchase the plane ticket, that is to Korea, Taiwan and Australia. So Australia was their first stop… Why? You would ask that the daughter acted so fast in purchasing all those ticket and travel arrangement? What’s the big deal of me telling you all this?

Because before this, my this particular uncle didn’t want to travel or even wants to go out from his house for a walk because he was suffering from Alzheimer which cause his mood to go up and down. Well, most of the time he is in a bad mood. But since the daughter have bring him around and purchased this ticket he had been very joyous and positive.

So Australia was his first stop for his spree of holiday! But it is here that he had experienced his Holiday of No Return! So what it is? My uncle passed in his sleep during this holiday! SHOCKER!!! He was so happy and joyous because he was on holiday, but then he said he feels tire, so he when to bed. Normal!! If you are tire go to bed! Well, that was his last words, “I’m tire, I don’t want to go out, I want to rest…” So nobody gave much thought to it.

It is indeed sad to have lost an uncle, one who had taught me so much in calculation and business. He was an uncle whose shop I would hang out during my primary school years and he taught me to use those Chinese calculators “shun pan”. He allowed me to be a cashier at his shop when I was at the aged of 8 onwards. He gave me confident in dealing with money and learned about the value of money. Most importantly he gave me a taste of what business is liked at such a young aged. I guess that’s where I was inspired to start my own business today.

Bye bye uncle we will all miss you BUT looking at the bright side he died in the most joyous and blessed way! He was on holiday man!!! The happiest time of his life! I too wish and pray for such peaceful and joyous death.

My condolence goes out to my uncle’s family.
