Being a leader is never easy. BUT it is being a leader that has made me who I am today! Sometimes I asked myself, why am I a leader? Why did God choose me? 1 Sam 12:22 states that God has chosen us to be leaders – not so that we can boast and has a title BUT it’s solely because He wants His people to be blessed! Meaning it is not because we deserve to be a leader BUT it’s just that we are that channel of blessing to His people!
WOW!! What a great inside! I must say… I’m very honor to know that God uses us, leaders as that channel of blessing for His people BUT!!! That also means we can be the one that blocks out the blessing to those who we lead! Eikeees!!!
See, I told you being a leader is NOT easy! :-) So how are we to be a good leader? 1 Sam 12:23 gave us the answers, as leaders we MUST pray for those who have been place under us and also teach them the right way to God. Sometimes we might not agree to our people’s decision in how they carry out their lives BUT we as leaders need to continue to pray and teach them! That’s the hard part! BUT with the Holy Spirit and God’s grace upon our leadership it is possible and achievable!
Remember leaders, title doesn’t draw people it’s the relationship and the heart for them that draws them! Therefore this Christmas let us leaders pray for ourselves to have a heart for God’s people (this also include the non believers) and learn to love them!

Savings...
Financial situation is like the main thing in all of our lives. Most of our days are spend thinking of how to make more money!!! It is so true isn’t it? I’m not talking until the extend of making money as our God, but be true to yourself, we are always making decision to improve our lifestyle and standard of living! So with that comes the issue of money! So don’t deny that money is NOT important, it is important! For that matter if you don’t want it you can always bank it into my account :-D
This session I would like to give you some tips on how to deal with your money so that you will have a comfortable lifestyle ahead and not struggle with money. If you have not started a saving or retirement plan yet, I do strongly encourage you to do so immediately. It’s never too young to start on this plan, actually the younger you are the better or rather more money you will have at the end of the day!
Here are so of the tips that you can used.
If you are in the 20’s
• Learn to live below your means.
• Tighten up spending.
• Have another bank for your saving (Preferably one that is not convenient to go withdraw money).
• Save at least 10%-15% of your take home pay.
• If you still have enough start a small investment. Like into fixed deposit, bonds, unit trust, etc (But be aware not too big of an investment).
• Start an escape fund. This is a fund that will be used in time of emergency or unexpected
circumstances.
If you are in the 30’s
And you have yet started what the 20’s are doing; incorporate it into your plan IMMEDIATELY!
• Concentrate on building your career. Start your own business now if you need or have plans to enter that field.
• Turn cash into possessions. Meaning start to invest into a house, stock etc.
• Start an insurance which give a high return!
• Get marry for those who plan to.
• Start a fund for your children’s future education and well being.
• Increased your investment portfolio.
If you find yourself doing some of the above during your 20’s that is very good because that means you are on the head start! Like for myself I’m practicing those things listed in the 40’s already tho’ I’m yet anywhere near 40 :-)
If you are in the 40’s
• Feed an escape fund.
• Monitor your investment closely.
• Increase saving percentage.
• Invest into vocational home – a place where you would like to retire into.
• If you have yet to start your own business, start your own home business now!
If you are in the 50’s
• Keep the investments working for us by monitoring it closely.
• Monitor your estate investment.
• Benefit check, do this check so that you know what kind of benefit you will enjoy when you retire from your company.
• If you have children and they have reach the maturity age (start working) stop giving them
allowance or money.
Hope this helps. For those of you who have fallen behind, I urge you to make it right immediately so that you can be debt free and well to do faster. For those who are ahead, KEEP UP the GOOD WORK!!! Be blessed people!

Blind and seeing the World 2
I just like to add somemore amazing thing this lady did today… Yesh! The same lady!
Today, I sent her off to the airport for her flight back to Australia. And she again amazed me! She is so helpful you know? We got down at the airport and I was getting the luggage out and then she said “Dear… let me help you there, its heavy..” I said no need – thinking that she can’t see – she just made her way to the back of the car on her own and grab hold of the bag that I was about to take out from the boot and she assisted me to place it at the trolley! Gosh! I wanted to faint already.
She came with her daughter for this holiday. So at the airport they had 2 trolleys for their bags and she said “C… how r you going to push two trolley? Let me have the other!” And she fought her way to get hold of the other trolley and she wheeled it! And she told her daughter, “Just call out to me and I will follow you!” Gosh! She is really an amazing lady! I must give my salute to her! She really inspirer me to do more!

Blind and seeing the World
Yesterday I had a client who came here for a holiday and she is blind! After speaking to her for awhile I was so amazed at what she is doing even tho’ she is blind!
If you were blind what would you be doing? Traveling I believe will be the last thing on your mind as it will be so troublesome and you can’t see what’s there anyway right? Well! This lady had travel like to most part of the world! Gosh! She has been to (just to name a few) Canada, New Zealand, Europe, Indonesia (Bali), even China and now to Malaysia. She said her next target will be Japan! Wah!!! And she is blind must I remind you? She told me all these places are beautiful and is different! She said the hotel that she is staying in now (Sutera) is beautiful! I scratch my head! How the heck she knows? And she said “Dear, we the blind see the world and paint it very beautifully! More beautifully then those who can see…” Then I was thinking to myself you get to do that at home anyway? Before I finish thinking she said “It’s different being there and just painting how beautiful the country is, because if you are there you get to smell the air and meet the people that brings meeting to travelling…” WOW!!!! That’s so true isn’t it? We travel is because we want to meet the people there and get to understand them better.
If what she has told me so far has amazed you… GET this she is staying alone in Australia too!!! Bear in mind she is blind! Wah!!! She told me all her children are grown up and has their own lives and the closest son is staying er… like as far from KK to Tawau. Amazing woman ya? And she said this “Oh.. I can’t be a burden to others, I need to be independent so that others can live their life to the fullest!” What a great attitude she has!
I’ve been inspired by her much and will need to do more!! I’m not blind BUT I feel that I’m not even doing as much as she is doing. So I will need to do more and travel more too!

Abiding in Laws...
The Laws am referring to are those stated in Bible. In Galatians Paul actually said that the Law bring curse! Huh? ??? Big time ??? Haha… A good friend of mine had told me before, we need to practice our lifestyle according to the Word of God BUT don’t fall into legalism! Er… What the heck is legalism? To me a law will show us the boundaries and limitations that we need to practice in our lives. WRONG!!! Laws in the Bible are meant to expose sins! That’s all it does!
So what is legalism? Now… I’ve come to my senses – It means Christians who live by a list of “don’ts” and believe that God’s favor is earned by good behavior. Well, I must say good behavior don’t earn us God’s favor, having humility, obedience to His call and a contrite heart is what draws and earn God’s favor!
So are you stuck with a legalism mindset? Let me bring out some of the legalism symptom for you, so that you can check and see if you have such mindset. Ready? Here it goes:-
1) You feel guilt about yourself when you come into the presence of God instead of His Love.
2) Feels guilty and inadequate all the time.
3) You will hate yourself instead of exercising humility.
Please don’t get humility wrong and think that by hating yourself is humility! Humility is knowing our true position before God and having a righteous, pure and contrite heart.
4) We stress performance rather than relationship with one another.
5) We think we have fallen so far short instead of recognizing what Christ has done for us.
Therefore legalism is super impossible to achieve and no joy to be in. Let us not be stuck with such mindset BUT know that God has already set us free from all such legalism! BUT that doesn’t mean the law is not important. The law is still important for us to understand and abide to! Being a Christian allows us to have a fullness of life which comes with lots of joy and excitement! That’s what a Christian is all about! Not a sad life!

ATTENTION!!
The past week (since Monday) I’ve attracted much attention just because I’ve colored my hair… or rather highlighted my hair with 2 colors (tho’ most of them thought I only highlighted 1 color) hee…

Through this experience I realize 2 things:
1) It’s easy to get attention, just be daring to do something different and you will sit on the top of rank of the attention chart.
· I had the younger ones coming up to me talking to me! Some of them had never spoken
to me before too! That wasn’t hard! No effort needed at all!
· Got the more senior generations coming to me and asking if am “ok”? What had
traumatized me to do that!
· My own generations, hmmm…. ????
2) I might have different colors on my hair! BUT I don’t feel any different at all! I’m still me!
My identity is still the same – Angela Liew :-) My love for God is still the same too :-) Think
LOVE Him even more actually “-D
From this it had taught me something, when you think out of the box or step out of your comfort zone you attract a different group of people. With the change doesn’t mean that you need to throw your identity away! You can still be who you are BUT just with different doors open and opportunities coming your way!
So don’t be scared to step out of your box or comfort zone and do something different today! For it will bring a new opening into our lives! Which is exactly what is happening to me!! Lots of new open doors have come my way in the past 2 months just because I decided to do something different. I started by doing something different in building my Spiritual life. You too can enjoy these opportunities, just come to God with a new mindset and heart, He will show you the rest.
Be bless!!!

Dry Bones?
The past Sunday we had heard about reviving the dry bones! Wah!!! Dry bones also can come alive! It is recorded in Ezek 37:1-14. This message has touch and spoken to me much! All of us have dry bones in our lives, maybe not every part of our lives, BUT if you be true to yourself you will find them! Dry bones refer to our spiritual state which is not bearing fruit.
I’m blogging this is to remind myself and others out there that we DO have dry bones in us! Meaning certain parts of our life is not bearing fruits for the Kingdom. We might think that we are serving faithfully in a ministry and going to church every Sunday so we don’t have dry bones! Wrong!
In John 15:1-8, states that we still need to be prune and be discipline! Why do we need that if we don’t have dry bones in us? Therefore it’s so important for us to stay close to the Word of God (Ezek 37:4) and put on Christ (Ezek 37:14)! Not to mention obedience towards what He has called us to do!
So how to get out of our dry bones situations? There is no other way but to come back and stay close to His Word. Not only stay close, we must PUT them into practice and allow Christ to become part of our lifestyle! Therefore it requires us to have a new man inside us! What are the characteristic of this new man? Will… the answer is all listed in Colossians 3:12-17. That is how we put on Christ and not stay as dry bones in the Kingdom!
Let us all function as a new man and not dry bones! For we have much work to do for the Kingdom! And to take back what belongs to the Kingdom!

Obedience is More Important...
This past week has just been a tremendous week for me!!! A lot had happened since the last time I blog! I believed my Spiritual life has shift too! I’ve just entered new ground and gosh!!! It is so exciting!
The past week I had experience:-
1) New venture,
2) Miracle,
3) Answered Prayer,
4) Presence and guidance of God,
5) New revelations,
6) His riches and blessing.
And throughout the whole week I’ve been reading and hearing nothing but about the importance of obedient to God’s call! That had got me "trembling" and likes to excel in what He had called me to do! Listening to CD Sermon, in my morning devotion, and yesterday again at church all stress the importance of obedience. Obedience comes with a submissive and contrite heart! With obedience then only we can activate our inheritance which God has already given to us.
So here is the Bible verses that I’ve come across and studied that shows services or sacrifices we can give to God is not as importance as having an obedience heart. God seek nothing but an obedient heart to His call!
1 Sam 15:22-23 – Stubbornness is idolatry.
Ps 51:16-17 – God desire a contrite heart.
Pro 21:2-3 – Obedience to God standard not man’s standard.
Isa 1:11-20 – Obedience bring blessing into our lives.
Jer 7:21-23 – Walk with obedience and all will be well.
Hosea 6:6 – God desire a relationship of obedience.
Math 12:7 – Desire obedience.
Mark 12:33 – Obedience to His law that is to love!
This goes also for our obedience towards our Father of the house, Pastors and leaders.
